Parajubaea cocoides - Coconut Palm

Grows to about 10-15m.

"In Ecuador, the endosperm of the seed is eaten by the local people. This part of the seed is rich in oil and resemble coconut endosperm in both appearance and taste. The large seeds are ovoid and around 30-40mm in length. It is common for these palms to begin fruiting at around 10 years of age.
