"A large cycad with an erect or reclining trunk to 6m tall and 40cm diameter, usually solitary but sometimes growing in clumps of up to 11 stems, with occasional offsets produced along the trunks and numerous basal suckers.

Young leaves light green, with silky white hairs. Mature leaves numerous, obliquely erect to spreading, 1-3m long, bright green and glossy, flat in cross-section or shallowly to deeply vee-ed, straight in profile or gently recurved near the apex, arising at about 45 degrees from the trunk; petiole expanded at the base; leaflets broadly lanceolate, rigid, pungent-tipped, the margins lacking spines or with up to 5 spines on each margins, inserted on the rhachis at about 70 degrees moderately crowded to crowded; median leaflets 15-25 x 2.5-4cm; lower leaflets reduced in size to a series of small, spine-like structures. Cones markedly dissimilar, yellow to orange.

Tolerates moderate frosts. A hardy and adaptable species which grows best in full sun."

We have a limited range of these rare cycads in large 135L to 350L Easy lift bags. They are all hardened off to direct sunlight and range from 80cm to 1.5m above bag height.
