Description
- Deep green stiff leaflets, pale green beneath and about 30cm long.
- They form leaves that are 2.4-2.7m long and have a stiff, arching nature.
- V shape formation.
- The solitary grey trunk is about 15-30cm in diameter.
- Also known as ‘Big Mountain Palm’
- Native to Lord Howe Isalnd 500km east of Australia.
- May grow to a height of 10m
The name Hedyscepe is taken from the Greek hedys (pleasant or delightful) and skepe (shade).
