An evergreen member of the hydrangea family from China. Reasonably hardy tolerating full sun or shade. Favorably flowers all year, unlike a traditional hydrangea that has a seasonal bloom. Prune long growth every so often to avoid it getting too big rather than harshly pruning it all right back. We grow ours under Nikau palms in free-draining peat soil, where it is quite happy at about 2.5-3m+.
Excellent in floristry when flowers are budding with it’s blue delicate flowers.
The foliage is a darker tone compared to traditional hydrangea’s lime green leaves. It doesn’t lose its leaves.
